Powered by strong returns for shares of Salesforce and Visa, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading up Monday afternoon. Shares of Salesforce CRM, +2.83% and Visa V, +2.13% have contributed about 25% of the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.59% is trading 141 points higher (0.4%).
Powered by strong returns for shares of Salesforce and Visa, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading up Monday afternoon.
Salesforce’s shares have risen $6.80, or 2.4%, while those of Visa have risen $6.09, or 2.3%, combining for a roughly 85-point bump for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Walt Disney DIS, +2.23%, Microsoft MSFT, +1.43%, and Caterpillar CAT, +1.28%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index equates to a 6.59-point swing.
