Shares of FuboTV fell after Charter Communications said it reached a deal with Disney to restore ESPN and other Disney-owned stations to Charter’s Spectrum cable TV service.
FuboTV stock slipped more than 13% to $2.62, giving back much of its gains for the month that were sparked by the Disney-Charter dispute. FuboTV shares are still up more than 49% so far this year.
FuboTV, like YouTube TV, offers an online pay-TV service that includes traditional channels like ESPN and doesn’t require a cable subscription.
During the roughly week-long blackout of Disney-owned stations on Spectrum, Charter encouraged affected customers to try a free trial of FuboTV.
