China’s Shanghai Composite Index CN:SHCOMP added 0.5% to 3,240.28, while The FTSE Straits Times Index SG:STI of Singapore stocks fell 0.4% to 3,276.18. South Korea’s KOSPI Composite Index KR:180721 gained 0.5% to 2,380.34, while Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 Benchmark Index AU:XJO rose 0.6% to 7,435.30.
Of the Nikkei 225 Index constituents, passenger cars company Mitsubishi Motors JP:7211 saw the largest drop Thursday, as shares weakened 5.3%
Shares of passenger cars firm Mazda Motor JP:7261 and glass/glass products company Nippon Sheet Glass JP:5202 dropped 5.1% and 4.9%, respectively.
Also in Japan, department stores company J. Front Retailing JP:3086 saw the largest increase Thursday, as shares added 3.0%.
Shares of department stores firm Takashimaya Co Ltd JP:8233 and department stores company Isetan Mitsukoshi Hldgs JP:3099 gained 2.5% and 1.6%, respectively.
Of the the Hang Seng Index constituents, portable power tools company Techtronic Industries HK:669 saw the largest drop in Hong Kong, as shares declined 5.4% on Thursday.
Shares of online service providers firm Netease HK:9999 and pharmacies/drug stores company Alibaba Health Info Tech HK:241 dropped 3.0% and 2.9%, respectively.
Shares of property managers company Country Garden Svcs HK:6098 saw the largest increase in Hong Kong on Thursday, as shares increased 6.6%.
Shares of real estate services/transactions firm Country Garden Holdings HK:2007 and sporting goods stores company Li Ning HK:2331 increased 4.9% and 3.9%, respectively.
