Savannah Energy PLC said on Monday that its 80%-owned subsidiary has started to sell gas to Axxela Limited’s subsidiary, Central Horizon Gas Company Limited, in Nigeria.
The London-listed, Africa-focused oil-and-gas company said it will supply up to 5 million standard cubic feet of gas a day for an initial period of a year.
Gas distribution company CHGC has a 17-kilometer pipeline network with a capacity of 50 million standard cubic feet a day, providing natural gas in the Trans Amadi industrial area of Port Harcourt as well as the Greater Port Harcourt area, it said.
Shares at 0845 GMT were up 0.8 pence, or 2.5%, at 33.35 pence.
