Shares of Chevron CVX, +2.08% and Dow Inc. DOW, +2.11% are contributing to the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, -0.26% is trading 180 points (0.5%) higher. Chevron’s shares have gained $5.54 (3.4%) while those of Dow Inc. have risen $1.58, or 2.5%, combining for an approximately 47-point boost for the Dow. Apple Inc. AAPL, +1.15%, Nike NKE, +0.05%, and Honeywell International Inc. HON, +0.91% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
