Shares of Gulf Island Fabrication rose above previous 52-week highs in the after-hours market following the release of fourth-quarter financial results that showed higher revenue and earnings compared to the year-ago period.
In late Thursday trading, Gulf Island shares were trading 19.3% higher at $6.18 per share. The stock touched a 52-week high of $5.32 per share on March 1.
The stock finished the day’s regular session at $5.18, gaining less than 1% on the day.
After the bell, Gulf Island reported fourth-quarter earnings per share of 43 cents on revenue of $44.6 million. In the year-ago period, the company reported EPS of 4 cents on revenue of $38.1 million.
In the prior quarter, Gulf Island reported a loss per share of $2.04 on revenue of $5 million.
Gulf Island said it is a steel fabricator and service provider to the industrial and energy sectors.
