KeyCorp stock rises Monday, still underperforms market

Shares of KeyCorp KEY, +0.41% inched 0.41% higher to $14.70 Monday, on what proved to be an all-around positive trading session for the stock market, with the S&P 500 Index SPX, +1.41% rising 1.41% to 4,763.54 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.58% rising 0.58% to 37,683.01.

This was the stock’s third consecutive day of gains.

KeyCorp closed $5.60 short of its 52-week high ($20.30), which the company reached on February 2nd.

The stock outperformed some of its competitors Monday, as Bank of America Corp. BAC, -0.78% fell 0.78% to $34.16, Wells Fargo & Co. WFC, remained unchanged, and Citigroup Inc. C, -0.59% fell 0.59% to $54.01.

Trading volume (12.8 M) remained 1.9 million below its 50-day average volume of 14.6 M.
