Shares of Microsoft and Boeing are posting positive momentum Tuesday afternoon, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory.
The Dow DJIA, +0.78% was most recently trading 249 points higher (0.7%), as shares of Microsoft MSFT, +4.20% and Boeing BA, +3.84% have contributed about a third of the index’s intraday rally. Microsoft’s shares have climbed $11.00 (4.3%) while those of Boeing are up $7.13 (3.5%), combining for an approximately 119-point bump for the Dow. Chevron CVX, +2.62%, Walt Disney DIS, +1.60%, and Apple AAPL, +1.92% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
