Buoyed by positive growth for shares of McDonald’s and Boeing, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Friday afternoon.
The Dow DJIA, +1.05% is trading 225 points, or 0.7%, higher, as shares of McDonald’s MCD, +2.46% and Boeing BA, +2.28% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. McDonald’s’s shares are up $5.22, or 2.1%, while those of Boeing have risen $2.69 (2.0%), combining for a roughly 52-point bump for the Dow. Coca-Cola KO, +2.34%, Home Depot HD, +1.75%, and Salesforce Inc. CRM, +1.91% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index results in a 6.59-point swing.
