Distil PLC said Monday that revenue and volumes increased in the first quarter of fiscal 2022, boosted by a partial recovery in licensed sales of Blavod Black Vodka, mainly through Europe and Duty Free as travel restrictions ease.
The spirits producer –which houses the RedLeg Spiced Rum, Blackwoods Gin and Vodka, and Blavod Black Vodka brands among its portfolio– said that revenue for the quarter to the end of June rose by 10%, while volumes have increased 15%. However, it said that sales are still significantly below 2019.
The company said that the board is confident volumes will return to pre-pandemic levels as restrictions continue to relax.
