Automotive retail and service company Asbury Automotive Group Inc. said Michael Welch will join the company as chief financial officer effective Aug. 9.
Mr. Welch is joining the company from Group 1 Automotive Inc., where he was vice president and corporate controller.
Asbury Automotive recently said Patrick J. Guido resigned as CFO on June 24 for personal reasons. The company named William Stax, vice president, corporate controller and chief accounting officer, as interim principal financial officer while it conducted a search for a new CFO.
