Nissan Motor Co. said Tuesday that its global sales in May rose 28% compared with the same period a year earlier, when sales were hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Japanese auto maker said May sales increased to 348,610 vehicles.
Sales rose 70.5% in the U.S., 34% in Japan but fell 15% in China.
Nissan said global production rose 45% to 227,908 vehicles in May. Production increased 16% in Japan but fell 31% in China.
