Travis Perkins PLC said Thursday that like-for-like sales rose in the first quarter on the back of pent-up demand and higher levels of housing transactions in March.
The U.K. building-materials retailer said first-quarter like-for-like sales rose 17% year-on-year and 12% over the same period in 2019.
The company said results benefited from weak comparables in 2020, pent-up demand and an increased activity in housing transactions.
