Amazon.com Inc. AMZN, +0.14% said Thursday it was extending the time customers can make returns and increasing the places where those returns can be made.
For items shipped between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31, customers can make returns until Jan. 31. And at more than 500 Whole Foods Market stores nationwide, Amazon is offering a “box-free, label-free” return option. Other locations available for returns are Amazon Books, Amazon 4-star, Amazon Fresh and Amazon Go stores, as well as United Parcel Service Inc. UPS, +2.67% locations and Kohl’s Corp. KSS, +0.08% stores. Amazon’s stock, which rose 0.4% in premarket trading, has gained 7.7% over the past three months, while the Amplify Online Retail ETF IBUY, 1.42% has soared 33.3% and the S&P 500 SPX, 0.38% has advanced 10.3%.
