Microsoft, Nike share losses contribute to Dow’s 250-point drop

Shares of Microsoft and Nike are trading lower Friday afternoon, dragging the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory.

Shares of Microsoft MSFT, -3.16% and Nike NKE, -2.22% are contributing to the index’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -0.78% was most recently trading 257 points lower (-0.9%). Microsoft’s shares are down $6.08, or 3.3%, while those of Nike have dropped $2.76, or 2.7%, combining for a roughly 60-point drag on the Dow. Apple Inc. AAPL, -2.26%, JPMorgan Chase JPM, -1.22%, and Intel INTC, -1.70% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components results in a 6.78-point swing.
